About the Author

Matthew B. Christensen is Professor of Chinese at Brigham Young University where he has been teaching Chinese for the past 18 years. He is also the Academic Director of BYU's Chinese Flagship Center. The Flagship Center is a partnership among the federal government, education and business training students to take their place as the next generation of global professionals. He holds degrees in Chinese, international relations, and Chinese linguistics and has interests in Chinese linguistics, pedagogy, intercultural communication, and food culture.
