The English Language Toolkit series is an in-depth resource that teachers can use with all students who arrive in their classroom with a language background other than English. Specifically it offers ideas, activities and materials to help transition these students into an English-speaking classroom and steadily build their skills as English speakers and listeners. Some activities involve both speaking and writing; others are focused on listening, thinking and discussion. Many of them are suitable for whole-class vocabulary extension. All books offer taskboard labels and learning outcome cards plus other supporting resources suited to the learning level - ranging from alphabet and basic word cards in Books 1-3 to maths and literacy language resources in Books 4-6.
