Small Bible 16mo (six inches tall). Bound in full black leather with spine title and binding designs gold-stamped. No wear to the binding of this 1836 Bible. No slope, no twist, no distortion from reading or improper shelving. The first owner had her name gold-stamped on the front cover. Pages are tight and clean with no marks. Very, very little foxing. Top edge gilt. Engraving of the Destruction of Pharaoh's Host is the frontispiece for the Old Testament and engraving of Christ's Sermon on the Mount is the frontispiece for The New Testament. No musty odor. No water stains. No soiling. No sun fading. Nice addition to a Bible collection.
