Folio, 2 parts in 1 volume, pp [28, including subscribers],xxvi,1-38,[39-49],50-194,[168]; [16],256,[24, errata on final verso] separate title to second part dated 1723, first title in red and black, portrait frontispiece, 2 folding genealogical tables [one with repaired split], bound in contemporary panelled calf, sometime neatly rebacked with original spine laid down, this gilt ruled with raised bands and red label, corners restored, a few old neat library stamps to title page, last leaf and elsehwere, the spine unmarked, occasional light browning of text as usual, but a very good sound clean tight copy, well restored SECOND AND BEST COLLECTED EDITION, the standard collective edition of scarce and important English works of this great antiquary and lawyer who died in 1641, including 2 previously unpublished treatises. The second part comprises the previously published 'Reliquiae Spelmannianae', the posthumous works as edited by Edmund Gibson.
