Wayne P. Hresko, Ph.D., is a former public school teacher and faculty member at the University of North Texas, New York University, and Kent State University. In addition to his interest in problem solving and independent thinking, he is the editor of the Journal of Learning Disabilities. As an active researcher in the area of educational assessment, he has co-authored several nationally standardized tests in the areas of early language, early reading, developmental assessment, and young children's academic achievement. Recently, he has begun collaborating with researchers in Monterrey, Mexico, focusing on the areas of young children's language development and articulation ability.
Shelley R. Herron is an academic advisor at the University California Santa Barbara. She has co-authored three nationally standardized tests in the areas of early writing, young children's academic achievement, and comprehensive abilities in mathematics. She is a former public and private school teacher and adjunct professor at the University of North Texas and Sam Houston State University. Dr. Herron is continuing her publication endeavors in test development and practical texts for teachers and students.
