The Enigma Gamers : A CATS Tale

Gamification taken in a chilling direction

The elite Cyber Assassin Technology Services (CATS) team is comprised of experts who combat cyber warfare at ground zero. Their primary directives—

• Find root causes of cyber-attacks aimed at businesses and governments.
• Identify the cyber thugs who think they are untraceable.
• Stop digital extortion with advanced cyber security.
• Protect the innocent citizens of the region where they are allocated.

The CATS expertise includes military black ops, covert operations, multi-lingual, and governmental undercover backgrounds. They react real-time to assignments to gather data, follow the leads, and disrupt any success for their targets.

George, Ty, Ernesto, Mercedes, Summit, and Brayson—fan out across the globe to investigate these strikingly similar attacks. Their advice to focus on the long-term success rather than pay ransom demands appears to fall on deaf ears. Is it cheaper to pay the ransom or more convenient?

The trail leads to a pair of rivals who make a game of exporting misery uses their state-owned supercomputers. These gaming monsters believe they can’t be caught or stopped.

Julie and Juan guide their CATS resources to stop the spread of ransomware in every corner of the real and virtual worlds.

The points are mounting for the ultimate prize.

Who will succeed and who will fail?
