Entangled is an extrapolation of contemporary scientific, political, ethical, and social trends to a suspenseful outcome, the Outrage, with an action-filled climax. The story is presented as an episodic series of scenes, vignettes of seemingly independent events or actions, by persons unknown to one another and often widely separated in both space and time. A sampling of the episodes ultimately culminating in the Outrage includes a killer bee attack, an epidemic of dying babies, a sleeping cow disease, a small boy chasing chickens and killing ants, a new type of computer, a young lady defending her honor and reputation, a CIA study, abortion, an unusual young man, a South American War, pointless vandalism of a glass factory, and a professorial comment on a term paper. One, who is familiar with chaos theory and the butterfly effect, will recognize the fluttering of small wings in this collection of scenes. Indeed, Entangled is a societal example of the butterfly effect. This impression is enhanced by the narrator, the Chronicler, who, acting at the request of the United States president, presents the vignettes not in chronological order but rather in the order a historian might have discovered them.

About the Author
George was born early during the Great Depression. In constant search for employment his parents moved frequently throughout the USA. This nomadic life style meant that George attended 25 different grade schools in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and California. His parent's migratory search continued through the 1940s adding eight high schools to his academic background. Starting in 1949, his education became more conventional, four years at Bradley for a BS, two years at Boston University for a Master's Degree; and later a PhD from University of Manchester, England.
His professional career began as a research physicist at Cambridge Research Labs where he performed research in optical and radio astronomical antenna design. While there, he was selected for inclusion in a NATO scientist exchange program, which resulted in his being sent to England for two years.
Upon his return, George began a career in industry engaged in sponsored Research and Development primarily for the US Military and related agencies. During that phase of his career, he co-authored four technical reference books and published dozens of professional papers and was promoted to Vice President for Instruments and was returned to England where, as Managing Director of the company's European Operations. Back in the US In 1988, he returned to his first love, R&D, and teamed with two other scientists and formed a new company whose mission is to provide rapid development of systems for special operations, logistics and personnel recovery.
