Entanglement: The Belt (The Belt Series)

The discovery of a game-changing technology sparks an AI war between Earth's powerful dynasties and the nascent solar system colonies.

A long-lost ship transporting an experimental quantum communications device has just been found in an uncharted region of the asteroid belt. For Commander Scott McNabb, Flight Officer Miranda Lee, and the ragtag survey crew who accidentally stumble upon this lost tech, life is about to get a whole lot more complicated.

They now find themselves being hunted down by powerful factions from Earth who will stop at nothing to get their hands on this extraordinary technology. Their only hope is to push their ancient ship to its limits, try to stay one step ahead, and get to the safety of the quantum intelligence on the icy moon of Europa.

But to do that, they must first stop bickering, pull together, and buckle up. Because if they don't, then it's not just their lives at stake—but the lives of millions of people throughout the colonized worlds.

About The Belt Series:
This is an epic tale of humanity’s struggle for survival and meaning in a time when artificial intelligence has finally out-paced our own ability to control it. Set a few centuries into the future, humans have colonized most of the inner solar system. The asteroid belt (The Belt) is now a hive of mining activity and ships ply the trade routes to Earth and Mars. The technology depicted is, for the most part, what I consider to be technically plausible, although I do stretch it a little with quantum entanglement. That said, you won’t need a calculator enjoy the story.

For fans of the Colony Mars Series:
While this is not a follow on series, it does reference events from Colony Mars. And there is one character, who shall remain nameless, that still exists and plays an important role in this new story ;-)
