He coauthored two textbooks published by The IIA Research Foundation Internal Auditing: Assurance and Consulting Services and Introduction to Auditing Logic, Principles, and Techniques. He has published articles in Internal Auditor, Internal Auditing, Managerial Auditing Journal, Management Accounting Quarterly, and other journals. Kurt has more than 25 years of experience as an audit educator and practitioner and holds a PhD in accounting from The University of Tennessee. He is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the American Accounting Association.
