Square 12mo, pp. xxxvi, 492; early owner's signature & stamp on front free endpaper which also has small tear in upper corner, pastedowns have some darkening near edges, neatly rebacked and repaired at edges; very good in full contemporary brown calf with raised bands and gilt lettering on spine. Early ownership signature of "John Elston his book 1799." Crakelt's durable revision of Entick's work came out in 1784 and went through as many as twelve editions by 1800. Alston V, 273; ESTC locates only 6 copies worldwide, only LC and Illinois in the U.S.
