Entrepreneurial Trinity: Start and Grow a Business, Build a Strong Family, Nurture an Abundant Faith

“You’ve Got This. You’re Almost There.”

As I sat on the couch, the kids already in bed, I knew she was right. Feeling exhausted after a full day’s work, my wife asked me to come to bed. I tried to pretend that everything was okay, but in my heart, I didn’t know if that was true. Staring at our bank account slipping to zero, I felt like a failure–as a father, a husband, as well as a business owner. As I was considering giving up on our business dreams, her words and wisdom were all that I needed to press forward.

Brian and Mary Jo Sullivan learned how to balance faith, family, and a business the hard way. Brian had three young children at home when he started his engineering firm. He knows the challenge of working more than one hundred hours a week, having his children wonder if he lives at the office, and attempting to live out his faith all at the same time.

Harmonizing faith, family, and entrepreneurship can be difficult; however, Brian and Mary Jo discovered a way to do it, and use each one to multiply the others. In Entrepreneurial Trinity, the couple shares their story to help you

• Create a business with the integrity of your faith so you can provide well for your family.
• Strengthen your family with the principles of business and the foundation of a strong faith.
• Live out a faith that brings purpose to your work as well as gratitude and compassion to your family.

Business, family, and faith–have it all starting today.

Through a great deal of hard work, determination, and incredible support from each other, they survived the early startup days and steadily grew the team. That team grew so rapidly that they earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list for five straight years from 2017 through 2021. As a family, they enjoy volunteering for and supporting causes near to their heart, including a local food pantry, their children's Catholic schools, and various schools and hospitals in Haiti. To spend more time as a family and pursue new opportunities, following God's plan for their lives, Brian and Mary Jo sold Sullivan Engineering in 2021.
