This is a reproduced typescript that the author sent to Stephen Jay Gould (as evidenced by the "S15" in the top corner of the cover sheet, Dr. Gould's call number written either by himself or his assistant Agnes Pilot) -- Dr. Gould pencilled 10 minimal corrections on 9 leaves (copyediting marks such as transposing "E.G. Hutchinson" to "G.E. Hutchinson") and pencilled a word above a sentence whose grammatical structure is incorrect. Cover sheet has age yellowing; volume has light wear, including a few leaves whose top corners Dr. Gould turned down, since straightened. 60 leaves, illustrated. Interesting provenance. Size: 8 1/2 x 11 inches. [br 24].
