Entrusting the Treasure: A Contemporary Catechism of the Christian Faith

Recent studies reveal up to two-thirds of the youth from evangelical families are leaving the Christian faith. Merely doubling down on current efforts will probably not reverse this highly disturbing trend. We need a whole new way of thinking about what it means to pass on the faith to the next generation.
Don McReavy maintains that we must look afresh at the Scriptures and church history to see what may be altogether missing at the heart of our family ministries – the need to equip heads of households to assume their responsibility to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

Entrusting the Treasure is a contemporary catechism of the Christian faith in that it revisits the idea of a tool that was central to the Reformation, yet rethought and refreshed for use in our day.
