Epigrams at Large

Blue Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. No Additional Printings. Hardback. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 95 pages; illustrated with 12 black-and-white designs (by the author?) symbolising the 12 groups of epigrams; from the dj: "The author of these epigrams reflects the pathos of man's indecision in the form of the universal truism. He subtly expresses the poignancy of man's need for the substantiation of self, and for comfort in the knowledge that he is not alone. Perhaps a summation of this volume may be found in the following aphorism: "Philosophy grows on the experience it proves, " which by one definition is no more, and no less, than the study of a science by man, with man, and for man." Book condition: Book cover corners and spine ends show minor rubbing; Dj has two edge tears, the longest is 0.25 inches. Otherwise, book and dj are in nice condition.
