Epilepsy is the world’s most common serious disorder of the brain according to World Health Organization. Epilepsy is a chronic disorder in which the recurrence of seizures is the indispensable feature that is typically unprovoked and usually unpredictable. An epileptic seizure is the outcome of a temporary physiologic dysfunction of the brain caused by a self-limited, abnormal, hypersynchronous electrical discharge of cortical neurons. A seizure is a transient epileptic event, a symptom of disturbed brain function.
