Even though Russell has mastered the art of working with epoxy, he has more often than not, declined to be a public speaker on the subject. He began to write about it in recent years, since he and his wife, Ashlyn, began their boat kit business, Port Townsend Watercraft, featuring the PT 11 nesting dinghy designed by Russell as his ideal dinghy and sold as a kit. The author, Russell Brown, was born in California and cruised on a trimaran as a kid with his family in the early 1970's. He has been building his own designs since his teens; several 30-36 foot multihulls as well as nesting dinghies and nesting kayaks. For years he specialized in making custom composite parts for his own projects and well known racing boats. Even though Russell is considered to have mastered the art of working with epoxy, he continues to learn. Not inclined to teach classes or speak publicly, he collaborated with Off Center Harbor on a 10 part video series that compliments his writing on the subject. In 2009, he and his wife, Ashlyn, began their boat kit business, Port Townsend Watercraft, featuring the PT 11 nesting dinghy designed and developed by Russell as his ideal dinghy, and as of 2021, sold as a kit by Chesapeake Light Craft. Booklets like Scarfing Basics and the now discontinued Painting Perfection, (the featured paint having been discontinued) have also been published. There are other titles in the works related to wood/epoxy and carbon composite construction. Each new project provides him with photo ops that are worth documenting but being a perfectionist, it takes time to get a cohesive selection together. Stay tuned!

I. General Terms and Conditions
§ 1 Basic provisions
(1) The following terms and conditions apply to all contracts that you conclude with us as a provider (AHA-BUCH GmbH) via the Internet platforms AbeBooks and/or ZVAB. Unless otherwise agreed, the inclusion of any of your own terms and conditions used by you will be objected to

If you do not comply with this, this will have no effect on your statutory warranty claims.
§ 5 Choice of law, place of performance, place of jurisdiction
(1) German law shall apply. In the case of consumers, this choice of law shall only apply insofar as this does not withdraw the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the state of the consumer's habitual residence (principle of favourability).
(2) The place of performance for all services arising from the existing business relationships with us as well as the place of jurisdiction is our registered office, insofar as you are not a consumer, but a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. The same applies if you do not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or the EU or if the domicile or habitual residence is not known at the time the action is brought. The right to appeal to the court at another statutory place of jurisdiction remains unaffected by this.
(3) The provisions of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall expressly not apply.
