About the Author

At age fifty-seven, Mr. Fichthorn finally surrendered his life to Christ at the time his third marriage was ending along with his third business. After three marriages and three divorces, he finally realized that he could not succeed in making his own happiness. He could succeeded in business, but he couldn’t make his marriages last. Putting his mind on the Lord’s business, he devoured the word and absorbed all he could from teachers like J. Vernon McGee and Chuck Swindoll. God also pushed him to write Christian poems which he self published in a book called Poems That Edify The Church and toured the church circuit in Washington and Idaho reading a poem or two and selling the books. Then God almost miraculously saw fit to allow Mr. Fichthorn to obtain a forty-two unit apartment complex so there would be no financial troubles giving him the ability to produce five annual Gospel music concerts here in this small town of Breckenridge, Texas, which resulted in his winning the Gospel Music Artists Association’s Promoter Of The Year award in 2012. In 1985, he almost singlehandedly brought the National Avon Collectors Club’s annual convention to Seattle, which was the most financially successful convention they had ever experienced. He is now eighty-eight years old and is in the process of writing his autobiography.
