Equine Injury Therapy

Chronic injury is unfortunate for all owners and trainers as it is far more difficult to treat than less serious injuries and in some cases irreversible damage will have been caused by the delay. Prompt and appropriate treatment, however, will always give a performance equal to that achieved before injury. In this text the author explains basic anatomy linked to common sites of injury and describes the machines available to adequately rehabilitate the horse. The book should be useful reading for all owners and trainers of horses involved in athletic activity such as show jumping, racing, eventing and polo. It should also be a useful reference to veterinary surgeons and physiotherapists specializing in this field.
