The Short and Snarky Coxswains have turned themselves into a very minor Internet rowing phenomenon over the past few years, bringing wit and humor to the sometimes-staid world of rowing through their @shortandsnarkyrowing social media. Between them, they have more than three collective decades of experience coaching rowing. The Erg Book is a follow up to their popular rowing book The Short and Snarky Guide to Coxing and Rowing, available on Amazon.

Peter Cannia is an experienced juniors and masters rowing coach. He has a degree in exercise and wellness, holds the US Rowing Level III coaching certification and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), a USAW Sports Performance Weightlifting Coach and a CrossFit Level I Trainer. He currently coaches high school and masters rowing teams in Arizona.
