Eric asks his mom about the silkworm, and she explains that some silkworms make silk for clothing, but others can be harmful. Eric learns about the different types of silkworms, some of which are safe, and others are poisonous. After learning about them, Eric carefully returns the silkworm to its natural home in the garden, happy that he learned something new about nature. The experience sparks a love for discovering more about the creatures around him.
