Memory File #002
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to investigate the first impossible murder… in a world where death no longer exists?
Haven't we all?
Well, now you can find out.
Dreamscape Industries invites you to experience Memory File #002: Error Code, a dark cyberpunk detective horror scenario that places you inside a murder investigation that should not be possible.
In the megacity of SwynHex, humanity has solved death.
When the body fails, the mind is restored.
Memories, personality, identity, all preserved as neural code and transferred into a new body.
Death is no longer permanent.
Until now.
A body has been discovered in a rain-soaked alley.
No trauma.
No struggle.
No visible cause of death.
But something is terribly wrong.
The victim’s neural code is gone.
Not corrupted.
Not damaged.
Erased.
Permanent death has returned to the city.
And you are the detective assigned to the case.
As you follow the trail through neon-lit streets, corporate secrets, and the black markets of the Undercity, a terrifying possibility begins to emerge.
Someone has discovered a way to consume human consciousness.
The media calls the killer many things.
Soul Thief.
Code Killer.
Mind Drainer.
But in the shadows of the Undercity, one name spreads faster than the others.
The Tech Vampire.
And it may already be watching you.
Your Objectives:
Investigate the impossible murder.
Trace the stolen neural technology.
Find the Tech Vampire.
Survive the encounter.
What is the Dreamscapes & Nightmares Horror Series?
The Dreamscapes & Nightmares horror series places you directly inside terrifying simulated memories created by the fictional Dreamscape Industries.
These cinematic short horror experiences are written in second-person perspective, placing you in the centre of the story as the protagonist.
You are not reading about the nightmare.
You are living inside it.
Each story is presented as a recorded memory experience, allowing you to explore terrifying scenarios ranging from cosmic horror and survival horror to dystopian cyberpunk nightmares.
Every experience begins with a neural synchronisation.
And once it starts…
There is no turning back.
Warning: This experience contains violence, neural interface horror, identity destabilisation, and existential threats to consciousness.
Dreamscape Industries is not responsible for paranoia regarding neural implants, distrust of memory backups, or fear that your thoughts may not belong to you.
