We choose God because He has opened our eyes to see his beauty. We love him because He first loved us.

Predestination, says R.C. Sproul, isn’t just for Calvinists. It is for all biblical Christians. In this updated and expanded edition of Chosen by God, Sproul shows that the doctor of predestination doesn’t create a whimsical or spiteful picture of God but instead paints the portrait of a loving God who provides redemption for radically corrupt humans. There is mystery in God’s ways, but not contradiction.

R.C. Sproul (1939-2017) was founder of Ligonier Ministries in Orlando, Fla. He was also first minister of preaching and teaching at Saint Andrew’s Chapel, first president of Reformation Bible College, and executive editor of Tabletalk magazine. His radio program, Renewing Your Mind, is still broadcast daily on hundreds of radio stations around the world and can also be heard online.
