Hard Cover. Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket. First Edition. First UK Edition. PUBLISHER'S FILE COPY. Publisher's original blue boards with dark blue/black lettering to the front board and spine. Blue map-style end-papers. Dustiness to the top edge and some darkening to the spine. Overall a VG+ copy stamped PUBLISHER'S FILE COPY No 6863 to the front free end-paper. In the RARE VG (or slightly better) complete dustwrapper which is priced 7/6 net to the spine (as called for). The dustwrapper has a short, closed tear (with accompanying faint crease) o the top edge of the front panel. The head of the spine has minor wear and creasing with miniscule loss. The rear panel has a closed tear at the top right-hand corner and is a trifle dusty. Great period D/W art by Bip Pares. There is a publisher's number 6863 to the middle of the spine. Leslie Seldon Truss (1892-1990) also wrote under the pseudonym 'George Selmark'. Scarce. Curious happenings on the Cornish coast. Photographs/scans available upon request.
