A three volume set of this legal work. The second edition in three volumes as issued. Collated: Incomplete. Volume I is lacking 12 pages of contents to the front of the volume. Richard Preston was an English legal author and politician. He began as an attorney but attracted the notice of Sir Francis Buller, an English judge, and advanced in the law, being called to the bar in 1807 and taking silk in 1834. In cloth bindings. Externally, rubbed with bumping. Joints cracked to volumes I and II with lifting to backstrips and some loss to spines. Hinges strained. Booksellers label to front pastedown of all volumes. Bookplate to front pastedown of volume I. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places. Pages cockled with spotting throughout but still bright. Ink signature to title page of volumes 2 and 3. 12 pages missing to front of volume I. Good Only.
