""An Essay On The Probability Of Sensation In Vegetables: With Additional Observations On Instinct, Sensation, Irritability, Etc."" is a book written by James Perchard Tupper in 1811. The book explores the possibility of plants and vegetables having sensations and feelings, and how this relates to the concepts of instinct and irritability. Tupper argues that, although it may be difficult to prove definitively, there is a strong likelihood that plants do possess some level of sensation and consciousness. He also discusses the broader philosophical implications of this idea, including the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds. The book is a fascinating exploration of a topic that is still debated today, and provides valuable insights into the history of scientific thought. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
