An attractively bound prize binding in full calf, with a gilt border to both upper and lower covers, and elaborate gilt decoration to spine. All edges gilt. The prize book plate from King William's College, Isle of Man, remains on the front paste-down (see image). The college's gilt shield is stamped on the upper cover, with a gilt circular device denoting the Isle of Man on the lower cover. There is a short line of rubbing on the lower cover, and a bit of foxing to the half title and title pages, but the binding is secure and the contents are clean and fresh.
