First published in 1920, Colt & Alison's masterpiece is reproduced in facsimile with additional commentary by Geoffrey S. Cornish and an introduction by Fred Hawtree, both noted golf architects. "The four essays by Colt himself possess a comprehensive vision, delicately modified by pragmatism, which will possibly never be surpassed" (introduction).
