Revised and enlarged. viii, 536, 8, [21]pp. Contemporary full tree calf, red leather label lettered in gold on the spine. Marbled endpapers. According to the author, almost eighty pages of additions and two extra copper plates were included in this edition. With three engraved plates (one foldout), and tables. Includes chapters on grain rotations, beans, maize and wheat culture, farm-yard manure, barns, cattle stalls, cattle pastured and soiled, observations on cattle, sheep, and hogs, fences, butter, rice, potato spirit and beer, thoughts on hired labourers, and more. Also includes an interesting recipe for Parmesan (Parmigiano) or Lodian cheese. Wear to extremities, several wormholes throughout (usually minor), plates I and II were excised, tear to plate V, some scattered soiling, owner's inscription on title. A fair copy. Uncommon.
