Two volume set, cloth issues, each with their own slipcase, and five promotional pamphlets of the publisher's works laid in Volume I. Quarto (32cm); green-cloth covered boards with titling stamped in gilt on spines, decorations stamped in gilt on front covers, and ruling blind-embossed to covers; dustjackets; slipcases; [xx],244,[2]pp; [x],188,[2]pp; black-and-white halftones and illustrations. Volume I and Volume II are both in Near Fine condition. Volume I dustwrapper, spine-tanned, with modest shelf-wear; Very Good. Volume II dustwrapper, spine-tanned, with 1" tear to lower rear spine fold, and tape mend to verso of lower spine panel; Good. Volume I and Volume II slipcases, both lightly tanned, with modest shelf-wear and trace soil; both in Very Good condition. Volume I includes Mon Bokay's "Relations Between Ceylon and Burma in the 11th Century A.D.", I.B. Horner's "The Earth as a Swallower", and U Khin Zaw's "A Folk-Song Collector's Letter from the Mon Country in Lower Burma (1941)". Volume II examines Ba Shin's "Buddha Images of Tai Yuan Types Found in Burma", Alastair Lamb's "Old Middle Eastern Glass in the Malay Peninsula", Daw Thin Kyi's "The Old City of Pagán", and more.
