Lila Devi (lee-lah day-vee) founded Spirit-in-Nature Essences in 1977, based on her love of the outdoors and an innate belief that nature cradles an untold wealth of healing secrets. Lila's first experi-ence in taking a Bach Flower Remedy proved so extraordinary that she began studying the few essence books available at that time. Self-training metamorphosed into experience and led to the preparation of the first batch of Spirit-in-Nature Essences.Also a playwright, actress, poet, songwriter, and musician, Lila teaches Spirit-in-Nature Essences in the United States and abroad, combining ongoing experience, insight, humor, and music in her classes and radio and television appearances.The Essential Flower Essence Handbook, published in half a dozen languages, is used by Doctors Across Borders to train their physicians and is Crystal Clarity Publishers' best-selling audiobook for 2021. Lila's other books include: Flower Essences for Animals, Bradley Banana and the Jolly Good Pirate, From Bagels to Curry, a spiritual memoir; and I Remember Being a Tulip, an illustrated children's book to help them connect with the wonders of nature.Lila graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and psychology and a second-ary education teaching certificate. Before developing Spirit-in-Nature Essences, she taught high school English and ran a group home for intellectually disabled women. Lila is considered one of the foremost flower essence developers in the world today. She lives outside Nevada City, California.
