The Essential Handbook for Highly Effective School Leaders: How school leaders maximize teacher commitment, engagement, performance, and retention.

Teacher retention has reached a crisis point for school systems across the country. The Department of Labor estimates there are 567,000 less teachers across the United States compared to when the pandemic started. The National Education Association recently polled its members and found 90% reported burn out as a serious problem, 86% reporting they have seen more educators leave the profession or retiring since the start of the pandemic, and 80% reported unfilled job openings have led to more work obligations for those left.

School leaders are the missing piece but they need help to move from managing others to effectively leading. The Essential Handbook for Highly Effective School Leaders is written for principals, assistant principals, department heads, team leads, etc. to build sustainable cultures that maximize teacher commitment, engagement, performance, and retention.

Tim Nolan, Ed.D., in addition to his educational experience, has worked with over 10,000 leaders and over 100 organizations to improve employee commitment, engagement, performance, and retention. You can learn more about Tim at www.HighlyEffectiveSchools.org and see his videos on YouTube.
