The Essentials Of Biblical Hebrew

Since its original publication in 1938, this work has been recognized as one of the best introductory texts in the study of Biblical Hebrew. From his wide teaching experience Dr. Yates developed a simplified method of instruction which gives a competent reading knowledge of this ancient language. Now Dr. Owens, who teaches Hebrew at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, has undertaken a thorough revision, incorporating the latest teaching methods and experience. It retains the basic uncomplicated approach, while includung improvements suggested by many years of actual classroom use with The Essentials of Biblical Hebrew. Old testament scholars have gone over the revision carefully, so that the book can fairly be represented as the best initial text in Biblical Hebrew now available.
