Bob Elling, MPA, REMT-P, is currently a full-time faculty member at the Institute of Prehospital Emergency Medicine at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. He is also a Professor of Management with the American College of Prehospital Medicine, and works part-time as a paramedic with the Colonie EMS Department (NY). Michael R O'Keefe, REMT-P, is Training Coordinator for the Vermont Department of Health's EMS division. He has been active as chairperson of the National Council of State EMS Training Coordinators and with the development of various national EMS curricula. He was a member of the curriculum development group for the "First Responder: National Standard Curriculum." He also is a co-author ofEmergency Care, Ninth Edition.

Edward T. Dickinson, M.D., NREMT-P, FACEP, (Medical Editor) is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine in Philadelphia where he is Director of EMS Field Operations. He is Medical Director of the Town of Colonie EMS Department (NY) and the Malvern Fire Company (PA). Dr. Dickinson is active in prehospital research and the medical editor of numerous Brady EMT-B and First Responder texts.
