Two clean solid hardcover books, First Book and Second Book.New York State Edition (Revised). Illustrated in color and black and white. Blue cloth boards - very light soiling - matched set. First Book has very tiny nick at top board edge. Bindings are tight and square, hinges are sound, pages are clean and bright with clean unmarked endpapers. Occasional pencil check mark. Beautiful color frontispiece illustration in each volume, additional black and white illustrations. Book One intended for use in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades; Book Two intended for use in the seventh and eighth grades. The basic idea on which the books are built is to learn how to speak and to write English correctly and effectively.
