El presente trabajo se basa principalmente en la revisi�n bibliogr�fica realizada para el trabajo de investigaci�n. Se incluye en el trabajo desde la primera reacci�n multicomponente de la que se tiene constancia (por Strecker en 1850) hasta la s�ntesis multicomponente moderna. Se presenta una breve historia de los trabajos realizados en el �rea de la reacci�n multicomponente, con las citas correspondientes. Tambi�n se describen nuevas estrategias multicomponente para la diversidad de andamios.
