Her father was a pious man, and she had nine brothers andsisters. They were poor, but enlightened. Shemarried Abraham Applebaum, a brilliant man and anoptometrist, and they moved to the United States, thereby escaping the Holocaust. They lived in Brooklyn, New York, and had two children--Seymour and Libby, who areboth doctors. Four of her five grandchildren are also doctors, and the fifth,Neil Sukoff, the editor of this book is a MBA, J.D.with a Diploma from the London School of Economics and a BA from Middlebury College.The Eternal Spirit, a book of inspirational and spiritual poetry byBarbara Applebaum, is a testament to her deep faithin God.
