Ethics: Origin and Development

""Ethics: Origin and Development"" is a book written by Prince Peter Kropotkin, a Russian anarchist philosopher and scientist. The book is a comprehensive study of the origins and development of ethics, examining the evolution of morality and ethical systems throughout human history, from primitive societies to modern civilization. Kropotkin argues that ethics are not a product of religious or philosophical doctrine, but rather are rooted in human nature and social evolution. He explores the ways in which ethics have been shaped by social and economic structures, and how they have been used to justify power and oppression. Kropotkin also discusses the role of individual conscience and free will in ethical decision-making, and proposes a vision of a society based on mutual aid and cooperation rather than competition and domination. Written in clear and accessible language, ""Ethics: Origin and Development"" is a thought-provoking and influential work that continues to inspire ethical and political thinkers today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
