Ethics: Origin And Development

""Ethics: Origin and Development"" is a book written by the Russian philosopher and anarchist, Prince Peter Kropotkin. In this book, Kropotkin explores the origins and evolution of ethical principles throughout human history. He argues that ethics are not a product of divine revelation or individualistic reasoning, but rather a result of social evolution and cooperation. Kropotkin examines the ethical codes of various societies, from primitive tribes to modern civilizations, and identifies common threads of mutual aid and solidarity that have allowed societies to thrive. He also critiques the individualistic and competitive nature of modern capitalist societies, arguing that a return to ethical principles of mutual aid and cooperation is necessary for the well-being of humanity. Overall, ""Ethics: Origin and Development"" is a thought-provoking exploration of the nature of ethics and their role in human society. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
