In der Ethik fasst Spinoza sowohl seine Metaphysik als auch seine Anthropologie und seine Ethik zusammen, wobei er streng den Prinzipien einer an der euklidischen Geometrie orientierten Methode folgt. Diese geometrische Methode war ein Kulturprinzip dieser Zeit. Sowohl franz�sische G�rten als auch die Vorbereitung auf den Klassizismus in der Architektur bis hin zu Bachs Musikalischem Opfer durchzog der strenge geometrische Aufbau. Spinoza meinte, dass die Geometrie Wissenschaftler bef�higen w�rde, Dinge ihrem Platz im Ganzen zuzuweisen und ihre Anordnung nicht dem Zufall �berlassen werden d�rfe. Sonst w�rde die Wahrheit dem Menschen f�r ewig verborgen bleiben. Nur in einer unwiderlegbaren Idee Gottes, des Menschen und der Welt kann sich eine andere Wahrheitsnorm zeigen. Darum ist es Aufgabe der Philosophen, die Dinge von ihren Widerspr�chen zu befreien. Die Abhandlung ist in f�nf B�cher eingeteilt.

Baruch Spinoza, ne le 24 novembre 1632 a Amsterdam, mort le 21 fevrier 1677 a La Haye, etait un philosophe Hollandais. Deux de ses 1/2uvres, lui attira l'hostilite aupres des autorites religieuses. La connaissance, pour lui, etait un facteur de liberte et de beatitude.
