About the Author

Vasyl Marchuk is Professor in Political Science at the Political Science Department at the University of Trnava. His research focuses on political institutions and processes, local self-government, decentralization and the European integration of Ukraine.

Vasyl Melnychuk is a Doctor of Philosophy and Head of the Electronic Support of the Executive Ofﬁce of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council. His research focuses on the regional characteristics of local self-government reform, decentralization processes and European integration in Ukraine.
