The European Union: How does it work? (The New European Union Series)

Featuring work from an expert line-up of both leading scholars and practitioners with firsthand experience of the EU's institutions, The European Union: How does it work?, Fourth Edition, provides a unique and engaging perspective on how the EU works both in theory and practice. Concise and accessible without sacrificing breadth of coverage or accuracy, it is an ideal introduction for students with no background in the subject. The selections cut through the topic's complexity to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to master the subject.

The fourth edition reflects the ongoing changes in the EU in the aftermath of the Eurozone crises and the global context in which the EU exists. It also features expanded coverage of theories of European integration and policy making, and considers the hugely topical debate about the UK's future in the EU.
