614 pages (complete). An elderly, evocative copy. Previous owner signature on the opp-title page (J R Kaufmann, 15th of August 1820). Kaufmann was Pastor of the Strand Street Lutheran Congregation in Cape Town. The boards are much worn all about from shelving, storage, age, handling. They also have scuffing and marks. The spine has wear, cracks, marks. However, the boards and spine are efficient, steady and easy. The contents are aged, placid. The early and later pages have wear, tanning, age-related and handling marks. Despite these distractions, the contents are comfortable, clean, clear, competent, convivial, certain, benevolent. fk.
