About the Author

SAM WITT received his B.A. in English from the University of Virginia in 1993, and an M.F.A. in Poetry from the University of Iowa in 1995. He has many awards for his poetry to his credit, including the New Millenium Writing Poetry Award (1999). As a free-lancer Witt has published articles and book reviews in Gay and Lesbian Review, Computer-world, Salon, the Vancouver Sun, Wired, San Francisco Chronicle, and numerous other journals and newspapers. His poems have appeared in Colorado Review, The New Young American Poets, Pleiades, Virginia Quarterly, Louisiana Literature, and elsewhere. He has given formal poetry readings in this country and, at the invitation of the Lithuanian government, in Vilnius, Lithuania.
