About the Author
Melvin M. Belli, Sr., is one of America's most famous lawyers. Admitted to the California Bar in 1933, he has long been known for defending the rights of the individual and representing victims of personal injury. Many of Bellis cases -- most notably, perhaps, the 1964 trial of Jack Ruby -- have drawn extensive media coverage. Belli is a founder and former president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, a founder and dean of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Barristers Club. Among his numerous books are the five-volume Modern Trials and The Belli Files: Reflections on the Wayward Law. Belli lives and practices in San Francisco.
