About the Authors
When Jean found herself starting over in life, divorced after a 17-year marriage, with 3 grown kids and a day job that lost its luster, she knew she needed something more. She has always looked for adventure in the smallest moments but realized that the true joy came from sharing those experiences with people around her. Everyday Girl Adventures was born from just that. Jean's brand seeks and organizes fun and unique opportunities to bring people together and create lasting memories. Her goal is to help others recognize the joy of a moment and inspire them to find the adventure in their everyday life. Jean also understands the value of women supporting women. As a misfit in the business world, she wanted to create a place where entrepreneurs of all backgrounds could feel empowered coming together, no matter the stage of their business. Jaime Obertubbesing currently resides in Colorado Springs, with her two cats, Sterling and Snowflake, where she has been teaching for the past ten years. She is an elementary school teacher by fay, retail manager by night, and up for any adventure in between.Jaime got into teaching because she loved the energy, passion, and sense of wonder that children possess. There is something special about witnessing that spark in a child's eyes when a concept finally clicks. Jaime also admires how children feel each moment and don't hold back. She's always wondered at what point people lose that innocence and become so self-aware, so she tries to live life through a child's eyes-enjoying each moment for what it is and the memories that come along with them.Jaime is known for taking pictures of everything, to capture the value in a moment. She loves creative writing, and it has always been a dream of hers to dip her toes into journalism and editing.Despite her crazy schedule, Jaime always makes time for plenty of fun. She spends her weekends enjoying live music, dancing, soaking up the sunshine as much as possible, and hanging out with friends and family. To her, it never matters what she is doing, it's enjoying the company she shares the experience with. And she is always up for a new adventure. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy.
