About the Author

Lloyd Pulley has served as senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge (CCOB) in central New Jersey, since 1984. Under his leadership, the ministry has grown from a small home group to an active and thriving church body of over 4,000 adults. In recent years, a school, Calvary Christian School, and a radio station, The Bridge Christian radio, have expanded the church s outreach into the community.

Lloyd's practical, verse-by-verse teaching style encourages believers to apply the rich truths found in the Scripture to their daily lives. Through Bridging the Gap, the radio-teaching ministry of CCOB, Lloyd's messages are broadcast throughout the USA and can be streamed anywhere in the world via the Internet. He is also the author of numerous books, including Under His Influence: Yielding to the Work of the Holy Spirit, and his latest, Everyday Conversations, Eternal Impact: Lessons Drawn From Jesus and the Woman at the Well, which was released in April 2011.

Lloyd's heart for missions has opened many doors for him to share the gospel throughout Europe, Asia, South and Central America. The ministry of CCOB supports many missionaries who are bringing the good news to many for the first time and send out a number of short-term mission teams throughout the year.

Lloyd and his wife Karen have two grown children and three grandchildren, and reside in the central New Jersey area.
