Mindy Small, M.A., received her master’s degree in special education from Columbia University and has a New York State Certificate in School Administration and Supervision. Mindy has been educating children with developmental disabilities for the past 24 years. Her passion has been her combined work with children and families affected by autism spectrum disorders. Mindy currently serves as the coordinator of autism services at Herbert G. Birch Services, Inc., in New York City.

Lisa Kontente, ACSW, is a graduate of Hunter College School of Social Work. She has dedicated the past 11 years of her career to working with families of children with disabilities. As a clinical social worker, Lisa has worked in both a school setting and in private practice. She is currently employed at the Herbert G. Birch Services in New York City as coordinator of curriculum.
