These Corpus Christi pageants are often short dramas acted out by trade guilds as individual episodes in the larger Corpus Christi cycle. With editor A. C. Cawley's revised and re-edited text, with original wording but with modern spellings; and with definitions of some difficult or archaeic terms. Includes an introduction by Cawley. Entry 381 in Everyman's Library series. --- In Everyman's Library larger format binding style 4. Full blue cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling and interlocked 'EL' at tail of spine; orange topstain. In light blue dust jacket with Eric Fraser drawing to front panel. --- An excellent copy: bright, tightly-bound and clean, though with retailer's price notation on front free endpaper. Price-clipped jacket is well-preserved, though with a little creasing and chafing to extremities; wrapped in removable archival mylar protector.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; xxi, [3], 3-266 pages.
