About the Author
Author of works on Hollywood history and sports, including Great Sports Stories: The Legendary Films, The Next James Dean and Audie Murphy, Vietnam, and the Making of The Quiet American, Dr. William Russo taught for many years at Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts, creating the successful course on Business Writing that served hundreds of students. He holds his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts with a focus on literacy and language arts. Dr. Russo also served as a film contributor for Big Reel. He has collaborated with Emmy-winning writer and film star Jan Merlin on The Paid Companion of J. Wilkes Booth, Troubles in a Golden Eye, Hanging with Billy Budd, and MGM Makes Boys Town, and has edited a variety of fiction and nonfiction works on topics such as Multiple Sclerosis and the Vietnamese Boat People as Chief Editor of Lukeion Press.
