Everything is Energy (including you!)

The idea for Everything is Energy (including you!) flows out of a 2015 trip to Nepal. Tim, Pam his wife, and their friend Ingrida were training Nepalese students in Healing Touch energy work prior to the major earthquake. The earthquake was followed by months of severe aftershocks that created tremendous anxiety. Children were afraid to go in the school buildings and even their own homes. Tim, Pam, and Ingrida's Healing Touch students were working with thousands of people helping to ease the anxiety and then began working with the school systems.They found that the energy work was particularly helpful with children, calming them enough that they would attend school and sleep at night in their homes. The school teachers asked for a curriculum to help them continue to work with the children. They wanted simple tools to help them manage their emotional and mental energy, seeing that it could make a big difference. A simple version of this material was put together for the people of Nepal to satisfy their need in a time of crisis.Everything is Energy (including you!) is filled with fun playful images that invite children to explore our natural world, while teaching them simple concepts about energy, including how to experiment with this life-force inherent in everything – including them! With clear language and vibrant illustrations, Everything is Energy helps children understand how to work with and self-regulate their energy system, an essential part of who we are and the key to maintaining a healthy body and relationships. If all children learned these simple techniques and truths at an early age, the world would be a better place.Once again, in 2020 we are in a time of crisis and high anxiety. It seems timely that this more beautiful edition of the book has appeared to help our children. The simple knowing of our energetic self and tools to manage it is a priceless gift for soothing our anxiety as children and adults at any time.
